International Conference on Food Security and Nutrition
International Conference on Food Security and Nutrition organized by Oxfam was held on June 15-16 in Tbilisi. UCORA participated in the conference as a member of Agricultural Alliance.
Local and international experts and the representatives of the Ministries of Agriculture of Armenia and Georgia gathered in Tbilisi (Georgia) within the framework of an international conference to discuss current food security issues, as well as present the experience of their countries.
The following topics were discussed during the conference:

Effective policy implementation and monitoring systems

Empowering women in FSN: case studies and best practices.
The goal of the conference was to emphasize the role of small manufacturers in the countries’ production and to understand what the policy is needed in this area for small producers to increase competitiveness and ensure sustainable development.
